Day 1: Becoming
The first day of the year and we are always flooded with more than just social media messages full of wishes. While birthdays and festivals are the only times we end up wishing each other – we do have one thing to turn to – and this need not be at the beginning of the year. However, we do end up thinking of this only on the first days or the first week of the year until it is all forgotten.
The first day of the year is always a kind of ‘revelation’ of sorts.
“WHAT KIND OF PERSON HAVE I BECOME?”
This question comes fleetingly until we dismiss it for the future. However, that’s the catch, isn’t it?
“WHAT KIND OF PERSON I WANT TO BECOME?” – should be the question of the hour. Each day as you look at the mirror of inner thoughts, keep talking to yourself as to what you want to become. It is not a Santa Game of Good, Bad or Naughty. It is matter of pushing yourself beyond what you already are and what you want to be.
As for me, if anyone asks me this question it would be – I want to become a healthy, creative and contended person. It is a long shot and a difficult thing to grasp. I however break it down to –
- Read books
- Buy books
- Sleep over idiotic talks
- Now the question moves on to you – WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BECOME?
If this question bogs you, remember what Napoleon Hill said:
“You can always become the person you would have liked to be.” – Simple isn’t it?
